The widget is blank

A widget can only show something once somebody has sent you a photo. If a friend has sent one and it still has not appeared:

• Open Bondie once. The app refreshes the widget whenever it comes to the front, so this fixes it immediately in almost every case.
• Check that notifications are allowed for Bondie. A widget cannot fetch anything by itself — its process is not running — so a notification is what wakes the app to redraw it. With notifications off, the widget will only update when you open the app.
• Check that battery optimisation is not restricting Bondie in your phone's settings. A restricted app is not woken.

Adding the widget

Settings → Widget setup → Add the widget asks your launcher to place it for you. If your launcher will not, How to add the widget walks through doing it by hand.

Adding friends

Share your invite link from the friends screen, or search for someone by their username. Following a link raises a request that the other person accepts — a link can be forwarded or posted publicly, so following one is consent from the follower only.

Streaks

A streak counts consecutive days on which you sent something. Days are counted in your own time zone, not ours. The badge on the widget can be turned off in Settings → Widget setup.

Bondie Pro

Pro adds video moments, uploading from your camera roll, more friends, camera themes, widget frames, longer captions and read receipts. It is billed by your app store; manage or cancel it there — Settings → Manage subscription opens the right page.

Deleting your account

Settings → Delete account removes your profile, your connections and every moment you sent. It cannot be undone. If you have already uninstalled the app, use the web form.
